To start, By the Fire takes you back to the past. It reconnects you with your dearest memories and silliest inside jokes. In doing so, you’ll come to see your loved one with new eyes. And they’ll see, through specific stories and details, how special and loved they are.

Next, By the Fire creates new memories in the present. You’ll be in a surprise together, playing and discovering in intentional ways. (Folks often point to a few climactic moments as ones they’ll never forget.)

Finally, By the Fire propels you forward into the future. You’ll leave with keepsakes that weave the extraordinary into your day-to-day.

We’ll create a questionnaire for you that gets you reflecting on your relationship in meaningful ways. We’ll craft questions and follow-up questions that get at the nuance and aliveness in your relationship.

Then, we’ll weave everything you share into a series of beautiful, whimsical, customized moments.

You’ll spend a few hours filling out the questionnaire, and we’ll spend 2-3x as long as that creating your gift so that it carries you down memory lane, brings out all that’s in your heart, and holds you with care throughout the journey.

(If you’d like, we can also craft a questionnaire for your loved one, so you can both surprise each other.)

Absolutely.

If you don’t live in the same location as your loved one, we can send the gift directly to them.

If you’ll be in person with your loved one, we can design it for you two to experience together.

We can involve at least 1-2 other loved ones in the creation of the gift. (For example, maybe your gift is from all the kids for mom or from a group of friends.)

We also offer an add-on for involving 3 more other people in the creation of the gift. We can chat through the details before or after you purchase.

Since By the Fire is crafted just for you, we’ll want about 3-6 weeks to make the gift together.
